Platform Settings
HyperHQ exposes common settings for supported platforms. The available sections depend on the selected emulator.
Open platform settings
- Open Platforms from the HyperHQ sidebar.
- Select an installed platform.
- Open Settings.
HyperHQ reads the platform’s current configuration. Only settings supported by the selected platform appear.
Platforms with settings in HyperHQ
HyperHQ provides settings pages for:
- Cemu
- Dolphin
- DuckStation
- MAME
- PCSX2
- PPSSPP
- Redream
- RetroArch
- RPCS3
- Xemu
- Xenia
Other platforms still expose their executable, launch setting, BIOS files, supported systems, and pre or post launch commands.
Change a setting
- Open the matching section.
- Change one option.
- Save the platform.
- Launch the same test game.
Close the emulator before saving changes. An open emulator might write its older settings over the new values when it closes.
Global and system choices
Platform settings apply to the emulator installation. System settings choose how one HyperHQ system uses the platform.
For example, change Dolphin graphics under Platforms. Change which Dolphin platform a Wii system uses under Systems, Settings, Platforms.
BIOS and firmware
Open the BIOS section to review known requirements and selected files. Firmware installed through an emulator’s own menu still stays under the emulator’s control.
Launch settings
Keep the recommended launch setting unless the emulator needs a tested custom option. Special platforms use title IDs, set names, profiles, or table files instead of a normal ROM path.
See the matching emulator guide in the sidebar before changing the launch field.
Common problems
A setting does not appear
The platform does not expose that option through HyperHQ. Open the emulator and change the setting there.
Changes do not stick
Close the emulator, save again in HyperHQ, then reopen the emulator.
A game stopped launching
Restore the recommended launch setting and test the game outside HyperHQ.
