First Launch and Profiles

HyperSpin reads systems, games, media, and controls from HyperHQ. Finish at least one system setup before the first launch.

Before you start

  1. Open HyperHQ.
  2. Confirm one system appears under Systems.
  3. Open a game and confirm its platform is selected.
  4. Test the game from HyperHQ.
  5. Select Launch HyperSpin from the sidebar.

HyperSpin opens on the display selected under Settings, Display.

Enable profiles

User profiles are off by default. HyperSpin skips the Who is playing screen until you enable them.

  1. Open Settings in HyperHQ.
  2. Open User Profiles.
  3. Turn on Enable User Profiles.
  4. Save the setting.

Choose a profile

When more than one user profile exists, HyperSpin opens the Who is playing screen.

  1. Move left or right to highlight a profile.
  2. Press Select.
  3. Enter the PIN when the profile uses a lock.

After selection, HyperSpin shows only the systems assigned to the profile.

Enter a PIN

Use the on-screen number pad with a controller, or type the PIN with a keyboard. A profile PIN contains 4 to 10 digits.

Return to HyperHQ when you forget a PIN. Open Settings, User Profiles and edit the profile.

Create or edit profiles

  1. Open Settings in HyperHQ.
  2. Open User Profiles.
  3. Add a profile or select an existing one.
  4. Set the profile name and image.
  5. Turn on Profile Lock when needed.
  6. Choose which systems the profile should see.
  7. Save the profile.

Use system access for a child-friendly wheel, a guest profile, or a focused cabinet setup.
