Media Audit

Media Audit shows which systems or games have a selected type of artwork. Use it to finish a library without opening every game one at a time.

Audit game media

  1. Open a system in HyperHQ.
  2. Open Media Audit.
  3. Select a media type.
  4. Choose Missing, Has Media, or Both.

The result count shows how many games match the current filter.

Add one file

  1. Find the game card.
  2. Open its menu.
  3. Select Select Media.
  4. Choose the file.

The card updates when the upload finishes.

Add several files

Drag a group of files onto the Media Audit page. HyperHQ matches filenames to game names.

Review the match list before confirming. Use filenames close to the game titles stored in HyperHQ.

Audit system media

Open System Media Audit to check artwork across all systems. Select a system media type, then filter for Missing items.

This view works well for system logos, backgrounds, and marquees.

Preview installed media

Select a card with media to open a larger preview. Video types play inside the preview.

An Override badge means the file replaces the normal media choice for this item.

Remove an override

Open the card menu and select Clear Override. The normal media choice returns when one exists.

Match files more reliably

  • Use one file per game.
  • Keep the game title in the filename.
  • Remove labels such as front, final, or new when they are not part of the saved game title.
  • Upload unmatched files one at a time.

Common problems

A file matched the wrong game

Clear the override, rename the file to match the correct game, and upload it again.

A new file does not appear in HyperSpin

Finish the upload, close Media Audit, and restart HyperSpin.

A media type is missing

Some types apply only to systems, games, or MAME. Switch to the matching audit view.
