User Profiles

Profiles give each person a separate way into HyperSpin. A profile holds a name, image, optional PIN, and system access list.

Create a profile

  1. Open Settings in HyperHQ.
  2. Open User Profiles.
  3. Select Add Profile.
  4. Enter a Profile Name.
  5. Choose an image if wanted.
  6. Select Create Profile.

The new profile appears on the Who is playing screen when HyperSpin starts.

Add a PIN

  1. Open the profile.
  2. Turn on Enable Profile Lock.
  3. Enter a PIN from 4 to 10 digits.
  4. Enter the same PIN under Confirm PIN.
  5. Save the profile.

Use a PIN when the profile has access to settings or systems you do not want available to every player.

Restrict system access

  1. Open the profile.
  2. Find Restrict System Access.
  3. Turn systems on or off.
  4. Use the search box for a large library.
  5. Save the profile.

Enable All restores access to every system. Disable All gives you a clean starting point for a smaller list.

Test the profile

  1. Close HyperSpin if it is running.
  2. Launch HyperSpin from HyperHQ.
  3. Select the profile.
  4. Enter its PIN.
  5. Confirm only the selected systems appear.

Useful profile setups

Give the profile access to family-friendly systems and collections. Add a PIN to the main profile.

Guest profile

Dedicated cabinet profile

Show only the systems connected to the controls installed in the cabinet.

Common problems

Edit the profile and enable at least one system under Restrict System Access.

The PIN screen rejects the code

Return to Settings, User Profiles in HyperHQ and set a new PIN.

Profile changes do not appear

Close and restart HyperSpin after saving profile access changes.
